In Memory of a Friend I Never Met

Recently, I was hit with unexpected news on Facebook. It was a reminder of how the digital world connects us in ways we sometimes overlook. Karin, a friend I had met through one of the RVing women groups, had passed away. Though we had never met face-to-face, her presence was deeply felt in my online community.

Karin had a knack for appearing at just the right moment, offering words of encouragement and support on my posts. When I released Money Road Trip, she graciously left a heartfelt review on Amazon. Looking back, I'm grateful I took the time to express my appreciation to her.

In her obituary, I discovered more about Karin's remarkable life. She described herself as a transformative listener, was a Marine Corps veteran, and volunteered on the Veteran Crisis Line. Her family shared stories that beautifully captured her essence.
